FAQ

                    Frequently Asked Questions ( FAQ’s)

1. How do I pay the term fee for my child?

You can pay the Term fee at any nearest branch of City Union Bank in your respective living areas, or can pay through banks accounts online or can pay by demand Draft, GPAY or can Pay at office only by DD.

2. Can I pay the school term fee in instalments?

Yes. School fee can be paid in full or can also be paid in two or Three installments.  First instalment (50%) at the time of admission and the second instalment (30%) by the end of July month and Final Payment (20%) on January.

3. Can I pay the fee in cash?

No. you have to pay the School fee using the methods which  is explained in FAQ I.

4. Do I have to pay any other school fee other than term fee and miscellaneous fee?

No.  School Term Fee includes Non-refundable deposit, Club Activities Fee, Term Fee, Development fee, Online Support , Assessment, Examination Fee, Activity and Training etc.,  

Note : Parents are not allowed to pay any other fee in the middle of the Academic year other than those mentioned at the time of admission.

5. Can age limit be relaxed at the time of admission?

NO. Age limit can never be relaxed at any point of time.  We at MVM, Thiruvarur meticulously follow the guidelines issued by the State and the Central Board of Secondary Education.

6. Should my ward attend any extra coaching class?

No.Attending extra Tuition coaching class is not recommended.  Sometimes it becomes detrimental to the academic growth of a student.  In general, it is enough that a student follows the instructions of the teachers and works individually and regularly. In case of difficulty in understanding the concepts student can approach the concerned teacher and get their doubts clarified.

In case if any student with special education need, school will provide the necessary support.

7. Can you brief me about the infrastructure provided by the School?

Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Thiruvarur is situated in a lush green environment that is free from air pollution where there is no risk of Highways with speeding automobiles.  Our classrooms are spacious, well ventilated and well-lit by natural / artificial lights.  Our school has State of Art Laboratories for each subject that are well equipped. Our school Library is well stocked with more than enough number of good books relevant for the Students and Teachers. School has a large well-maintained playground so that the students engage in sports activities safely and enthusiastically.  The school has a State of art indoor Sports Studio, Spacious Yoga and Meditation hall which gives the natural ambience in which student can practise Yoga and Meditation which will strengthen his / her soul. 

8. How does a teacher of your school is trained to face the challenges in the modern everchanging world?

The management of the school believes that a good teacher should also be a good learner, should have an open mind to learn new things, adapt to changing and challenging situations.  To equip our teachers in this regard we follow many methods.  One such is the annual Training / Workshop organised by MVM, Chetpet.  In this platform teachers share their best practices among themselves. The knowledge they gain will definitely benefit the student community across the schools.  In addition to this, teachers will be encouraged to attend workshops / conferences / training programmes organized by competent institutes.  School will also encourage teacher to pursue higher studies.

9. What are the other club activities in which a student will be engaged in?

10. How does the school encourage sports activities?

Currently we coach our students in sports like cricket, volley ball, football, and chess.  Our future plans include activities like archery, swimming and horse riding.

11. How will the school handle medical emergency?

As per CBSE norms school has a well-equipped Health room with Four beds provide better emergency service to our students comfortably without any panic. The Medical room will be under the supervision of a qualified health care person till the ward shift to nearest Hospital through 108 Special Service in the case of emergencies.

12. How will you handle any medical emergency while my ward is in the school?

You can rest assured that your child is in the safe hands and in a safe environment.  In spite of this, it is possible that a child meets with a health issue while at school.  In such a case, the school has well equipped health room to handle the situation. Firstly as a parent you will be informed about this. If required, your child will be transported to the Family Physician the name of whom you have provided at the time of admission. If we are not able to contact you the child be taken care and admitted to the nearest Government Hospital for treatment. During this time the child will be under the supervision of Child Welfare Officer till either one or both the parents arrive.

13. Do I get counselling facility for my kid at campus?

Yes. The school has a qualified Counsellor to take care of the needs of the students.

14. As a parent what are my roles and responsibilities?

As a parent you should support your ward morally.  Spend quality time with your child.  Ensure that your child follows good healthy hygienic practices at home as instructed. Ensure that your ward studies independently in a systematic and disciplined way.  See that they do their assigned works and submit them on time.  You should also make it a point to visit the school and meet the teachers and discuss once in a month.

15. What should I do if I am not satisfied with the progress of my ward or if I want to have some clarity on the progress of my ward?

We at MVM, Thiruvarur understand your state of mind as a parent.  The school under the able guidance of the management which is in the field of education for many years, experienced and knowledgeable principal and qualified and experienced teachers will be at your side when it comes to the overall development of your child.  If you want to get clarity on the progress of your child or offer some suggestions, you can either meet the Principal in person after fixing an appointment or communicate through e – mail.  But as a parent you also have an assigned role to play in the progress of the child.  Follow the instructions given in the Students’ Guide.  You are expected to mark, endorse the daily activities of your ward by signing the relevant column.  Non – compliance of the instructions given in the Students’ Guide will hamper the progress of the child.
